The Department of Biomedical Science is a research-centered department that was established on March 1, 2010 to improve the research competitiveness of Yonsei University College of Medicine in order to support its development into a world-class medical research institute.

To this end, the department strives to help individual researchers to enhance their capabilities and promotes joint or translational studies by selecting and supporting quality research staff in various fields that go beyond the conventional scope of research field in the department unit, divided according to major and education.
