About ISW 2026

The International Student Week (ISW) is a short-term training program conducted by the Graduate School of Dentistry, the University of Osaka. It is intended for undergraduate dental students from overseas universities that have established an academic exchange agreement or memorandum of understanding with the Graduate School of Dentistry, the University of Osaka. The program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of research in oral bioscience and provide opportunities to observe international dental practices.

Key features:

・A specialized training program conducted in accordance with  the University of Osaka’s internship trainee guidelines.

・Program Period: one week(2026. 5. 18. - 5. 22.)

・Capacity: up to six students per session, selected from multiple universities. Each university may nominate up to three applicants.

・Opportunities for interaction with undergraduate, graduate, and international students at the Graduate School of Dentistry (e.g. welcome reception).

・Visiting to dental manufacturing facilities*.

*Visits to dental manufacturing facilities will be arranged only when coordination with the company is successful, and therefore may not be included in every session.

Eligibility Requirements:

・Students must have sufficient clinical training experience to meet the program objectives.

・Undergraduate students.

Important Notes

・Participants must carry their own travel health insurance.

・Travel and accommodation expenses are the responsibility of each participant.
